  • Growing Design/Build firm has temporary superintendent opportunity. 

Responsible for full on-site project execution of required work in a safe and economical manner in accordance with the design requirements, on schedule and within budget.

Provide guidance, direction, and coordination of all on-site subcontract work.

Develop, implement, and assure compliance with the project schedule

Assure development, implementation, and compliance with project specific HASP program, including emergency evacuation plan.

Assure compliance with Company Health and Safety Program and accident reporting.

Assure Subcontractor compliance with all project safety requirements, including weekly safety meetings and reports

Assure Subcontractor compliance with all subcontract requirements, including: design requirements; staff drug and alcohol policies; sexual harassment policy; hazard communication policy; EEO policy; etc.

Assure compliance with all Company standards, systems, and practices.

Produce Daily Construction Reports (DCR's), per ET standards with supporting photos to record daily progress and events.

Produce weekly subcontractor coordination meeting minutes and monthly project progress reports.

Interface with Owner's on-site representative

Present and conduct oneself in a professional, respectful manner in dealing with all parties, including: the Client; subcontractors, suppliers; professional service providers; government authorities, etc.

Interface with local authorities for all permit inspections and approvals.

Must have knowledge of prevailing national and international fire, electrical and mechanical code standards. 

Must have a working knowledge of complex civil, mechanical, electrical and structural work. 

A demonstrated understanding of construction means and methods associated with the renovation and construction of compressed natural gas refueling and maintenanve buildings and site work while under owner occupancy and operation.  

Proficiency with Microsoft Project, spreadsheets, electronic documentary tools, email, digital construction photography, and other proprietary company budgetary tools. 

Minimum education is degree from an accredited high school.  Current safety credentials to include OSHA 30 1, 1st Aid and CPR

The ideal candidate will have 15 or more years of progressive responsibility supervising compressed and/or liquefied natural gas /or recycled natural gas construction. 

This individual must have strong communication skills with the entire project team. Specific desired experience includes: 

    • LFG and GCCS
    • LFGTE Plant Construction Experience
    • CNG/LNG Fleet Fueling Projects

 Position is located In Waterloo, Ontario at 645 Conrad Place N2V 1C5, Minimum weekly wages are $1890.00 and maximum weekly wages are $2156.00 for a 40 hour week.  Working conditions are consistent with local prevailing guidelines.
